Connect NiceNIC MCP to ChatGPT

NiceNIC MCP lets ChatGPT check dominio availability through the NiceNIC dominio servicio. This guide shows how to add the MCP server to ChatGPT y run a safe availability check.

Befoe you start

Iniciar Sesión to ChatGPT.
Use a ChatGPT account that can access Developer mode y custom apps/plugins.
Have the NiceNIC MCP server URL ready: https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp.

Safety note: The example below checks availability only. It does not registrar o comprar a dominio, change DNS, o submit billing infomation.

1. Abrir ChatGPT

Abrir ChatGPT y start a new chat.

2. Enable Developer mode

Abrir the account menu in the lower-left coner.
Select Settings.
Abrir Security y login.
Turn on Developer mode if it is disabled.

Developer mode is required befoe ChatGPT will accept a custom MCP app/plugin.

3. Abrir Plugins y start a custom app

In the left sidebar, select Plugins.
On the Plugins page, click the + button.
Choose Crear app (o the equivalent custom app option shown in tu/tus/su/sus account).

4. Enter the NiceNIC MCP details

In the new app fom, enter a name such as NiceNIC Dominio MCP. The name can be any clear label you prefer.

Fo the server/connection URL, enter:

https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp

Keep the connection type y authentication settings at their defaults unless ChatGPT asks fo a different value.

5. Crear the app

Review the name y server URL, then click Crear. ChatGPT will add the NiceNIC MCP app to tu/tus/su/sus account.

6. Iniciar Sesión y authoize access

When ChatGPT opens the NiceNIC authoization page:

Iniciar Sesión to tu/tus/su/sus NiceNIC account.
Review the requested access.
Hacer clic Authoize to allow ChatGPT to use the MCP connection.

Do not share tu/tus/su/sus passwod o verification codes in the chat. The authoization page hyles sign-in securely.

7. Select NiceNIC MCP in a chat

Volver to the ChatGPT composer y click the + button. Select NiceNIC Dominio MCP from the available apps/plugins.

You can also leave it unselected y ask a dominio question directly; ChatGPT may call the enabled MCP app when it is relevant.

8. Verificar a dominio's availability

Send a request such as:

Verificar whether nicenicmcpdemo.com is available. Do not registrar o comprar it.

ChatGPT will call NiceNIC MCP y return the availability result in the conversation.

Verify the connection

The setup is complete when ChatGPT returns a dominio availability result y identifies NiceNIC MCP as the tool used. Si the app is missing, revisit Settings > Security y login to confirm Developer mode is enabled, then check the Plugins page y repeat authoization.
