Connect NiceNIC MCP to ChatGPT

NiceNIC MCP lets ChatGPT check domain availability through the NiceNIC domain shërbimi. This guide shows how to add the MCP server to ChatGPT dhe run a safe availability check.

Befosee you start

Hyr to ChatGPT.
Use a ChatGPT account that can access Developer mode dhe custom apps/plugins.
Have the NiceNIC MCP server URL ready: https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp.

Safety note: The example below checks availability only. It does not regjistro ose blej a domain, change DNS, ose submit billing infosemation.

1. Hapur ChatGPT

Hapur ChatGPT dhe start a new chat.

2. Enable Developer mode

Hapur the account menu in the lower-left cosener.
Select Settings.
Hapur Security dhe login.
Turn on Developer mode if it is disabled.

Developer mode is required befosee ChatGPT will accept a custom MCP app/plugin.

3. Hapur Plugins dhe start a custom app

In the left sidebar, select Plugins.
On the Plugins page, click the + button.
Choose Krijo app (ose the equivalent custom app option shown in tënd account).

4. Enter the NiceNIC MCP details

In the new app fosem, enter a name such as NiceNIC Domain MCP. The name can be any clear label you prefer.

Fose the server/connection URL, enter:

https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp

Keep the connection type dhe authentication settings at their defaults unless ChatGPT asks fose a different value.

5. Krijo the app

Review the name dhe server URL, then click Krijo. ChatGPT will add the NiceNIC MCP app to tënd account.

6. Hyr dhe authoseize access

When ChatGPT opens the NiceNIC authoseization page:

Hyr to tënd NiceNIC account.
Review the requested access.
Kliko Authoseize to allow ChatGPT to use the MCP connection.

Do not share tënd passwosed ose verification codes in the chat. The authoseization page hdheles sign-in securely.

7. Select NiceNIC MCP in a chat

Kthehu to the ChatGPT composer dhe click the + button. Select NiceNIC Domain MCP from the available apps/plugins.

You can also leave it unselected dhe ask a domain question directly; ChatGPT may call the enabled MCP app when it is relevant.

8. Kontrollo a domain's availability

Send a request such as:

Kontrollo whether nicenicmcpdemo.com is available. Do not regjistro ose blej it.

ChatGPT will call NiceNIC MCP dhe return the availability result in the conversation.

Verify the connection

The setup is complete when ChatGPT returns a domain availability result dhe identifies NiceNIC MCP as the tool used. Nëse the app is missing, revisit Settings > Security dhe login to confirm Developer mode is enabled, then check the Plugins page dhe repeat authoseization.
