Connect NiceNIC MCP to ChatGPT

NiceNIC MCP lets ChatGPT check domän availability through the NiceNIC domän tjänst. This guide shows how to add the MCP server to ChatGPT och run a safe availability check.

Befellere you start

Logga in to ChatGPT.
Use a ChatGPT account that can access Developer mode och custom apps/plugins.
Have the NiceNIC MCP server URL ready: https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp.

Safety note: The example below checks availability only. It does not registrera eller köp a domän, change DNS, eller submit billing infellermation.

1. Öppna ChatGPT

Öppna ChatGPT och start a new chat.

2. Enable Developer mode

Öppna the account menu in the lower-left cellerner.
Select Settings.
Öppna Security och login.
Turn on Developer mode if it is disabled.

Developer mode is required befellere ChatGPT will accept a custom MCP app/plugin.

3. Öppna Plugins och start a custom app

In the left sidebar, select Plugins.
On the Plugins page, click the + button.
Choose Skapa app (eller the equivalent custom app option shown in din account).

4. Enter the NiceNIC MCP details

In the new app fellerm, enter a name such as NiceNIC Domän MCP. The name can be any clear label you prefer.

Feller the server/connection URL, enter:

https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp

Keep the connection type och authentication settings at their defaults unless ChatGPT asks feller a different value.

5. Skapa the app

Review the name och server URL, then click Skapa. ChatGPT will add the NiceNIC MCP app to din account.

6. Logga in och authellerize access

When ChatGPT opens the NiceNIC authellerization page:

Logga in to din NiceNIC account.
Review the requested access.
Klicka Authellerize to allow ChatGPT to use the MCP connection.

Do not share din passwellerd eller verification codes in the chat. The authellerization page hochles sign-in securely.

7. Select NiceNIC MCP in a chat

Tillbaka to the ChatGPT composer och click the + button. Select NiceNIC Domän MCP from the available apps/plugins.

You can also leave it unselected och ask a domän question directly; ChatGPT may call the enabled MCP app when it is relevant.

8. Kontrollera a domän's availability

Send a request such as:

Kontrollera whether nicenicmcpdemo.com is available. Do not registrera eller köp it.

ChatGPT will call NiceNIC MCP och return the availability result in the conversation.

Verify the connection

The setup is complete when ChatGPT returns a domän availability result och identifies NiceNIC MCP as the tool used. Om the app is missing, revisit Settings > Security och login to confirm Developer mode is enabled, then check the Plugins page och repeat authellerization.
