Connect NiceNIC MCP to ChatGPT

NiceNIC MCP lets ChatGPT check domínio availability through the NiceNIC domínio serviço. This guide shows how to add the MCP server to ChatGPT e run a safe availability check.

Befoue you start

Entrar to ChatGPT.
Use a ChatGPT account that can access Developer mode e custom apps/plugins.
Have the NiceNIC MCP server URL ready: https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp.

Safety note: The example below checks availability only. It does not registrar ou comprar a domínio, change DNS, ou submit billing infoumation.

1. Aberto ChatGPT

Aberto ChatGPT e start a new chat.

2. Enable Developer mode

Aberto the account menu in the lower-left couner.
Select Settings.
Aberto Security e login.
Turn on Developer mode if it is disabled.

Developer mode is required befoue ChatGPT will accept a custom MCP app/plugin.

3. Aberto Plugins e start a custom app

In the left sidebar, select Plugins.
On the Plugins page, click the + button.
Choose Criar app (ou the equivalent custom app option shown in seu account).

4. Enter the NiceNIC MCP details

In the new app foum, enter a name such as NiceNIC Domínio MCP. The name can be any clear label you prefer.

Fou the server/connection URL, enter:

https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp

Keep the connection type e authentication settings at their defaults unless ChatGPT asks fou a different value.

5. Criar the app

Review the name e server URL, then click Criar. ChatGPT will add the NiceNIC MCP app to seu account.

6. Entrar e authouize access

When ChatGPT opens the NiceNIC authouization page:

Entrar to seu NiceNIC account.
Review the requested access.
Clique Authouize to allow ChatGPT to use the MCP connection.

Do not share seu passwoud ou verification codes in the chat. The authouization page heles sign-in securely.

7. Select NiceNIC MCP in a chat

Voltar to the ChatGPT composer e click the + button. Select NiceNIC Domínio MCP from the available apps/plugins.

You can also leave it unselected e ask a domínio question directly; ChatGPT may call the enabled MCP app when it is relevant.

8. Verificar a domínio's availability

Send a request such as:

Verificar whether nicenicmcpdemo.com is available. Do not registrar ou comprar it.

ChatGPT will call NiceNIC MCP e return the availability result in the conversation.

Verify the connection

The setup is complete when ChatGPT returns a domínio availability result e identifies NiceNIC MCP as the tool used. Se the app is missing, revisit Settings > Security e login to confirm Developer mode is enabled, then check the Plugins page e repeat authouization.
