Connect NiceNIC MCP to ChatGPT

NiceNIC MCP lets ChatGPT check domain availability through the NiceNIC domain Serbisyo. This guide shows how to add the MCP server to ChatGPT at run a safe availability check.

Befoe you start

Mag-sign in to ChatGPT.
Use a ChatGPT account that can access Developer mode at custom apps/plugins.
Have the NiceNIC MCP server URL ready: https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp.

Safety note: The example below checks availability only. It does not magparehistro o bumili a domain, change DNS, o submit billing infomation.

1. Buksan ChatGPT

Buksan ChatGPT at start a new chat.

2. Enable Developer mode

Buksan the account menu in the lower-left coner.
Select Settings.
Buksan Security at login.
Turn on Developer mode if it is disabled.

Developer mode is required befoe ChatGPT will accept a custom MCP app/plugin.

3. Buksan Plugins at start a custom app

In the left sidebar, select Plugins.
On the Plugins page, click the + button.
Choose Gumawa app (o the equivalent custom app option shown in iyong account).

4. Enter the NiceNIC MCP details

In the new app fom, enter a name such as NiceNIC Domain MCP. The name can be any clear label you prefer.

Fo the server/connection URL, enter:

https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp

Keep the connection type at authentication settings at their defaults unless ChatGPT asks fo a different value.

5. Gumawa the app

Review the name at server URL, then click Gumawa. ChatGPT will add the NiceNIC MCP app to iyong account.

6. Mag-sign in at authoize access

When ChatGPT opens the NiceNIC authoization page:

Mag-sign in to iyong NiceNIC account.
Review the requested access.
I-click Authoize to allow ChatGPT to use the MCP connection.

Do not share iyong passwod o verification codes in the chat. The authoization page hatles sign-in securely.

7. Select NiceNIC MCP in a chat

Bumalik to the ChatGPT composer at click the + button. Select NiceNIC Domain MCP from the available apps/plugins.

You can also leave it unselected at ask a domain question directly; ChatGPT may call the enabled MCP app when it is relevant.

8. Suriin a domain's availability

Send a request such as:

Suriin whether nicenicmcpdemo.com is available. Do not magparehistro o bumili it.

ChatGPT will call NiceNIC MCP at return the availability result in the conversation.

Verify the connection

The setup is complete when ChatGPT returns a domain availability result at identifies NiceNIC MCP as the tool used. Kung the app is missing, revisit Settings > Security at login to confirm Developer mode is enabled, then check the Plugins page at repeat authoization.
