Connect NiceNIC MCP to ChatGPT

NiceNIC MCP lets ChatGPT check Domain availability through the NiceNIC Domain Dienstleistung. This guide shows how to add the MCP server to ChatGPT und run a safe availability check.

Befodere you start

Anmelden to ChatGPT.
Use a ChatGPT account that can access Developer mode und custom apps/plugins.
Have the NiceNIC MCP server URL ready: https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp.

Safety note: The example below checks availability only. It does not registrieren oder Kauf a Domain, change DNS, oder submit billing infodermation.

1. Öffnen ChatGPT

Öffnen ChatGPT und start a new chat.

2. Enable Developer mode

Öffnen the account menu in the lower-left coderner.
Select Settings.
Öffnen Security und login.
Turn on Developer mode if it is disabled.

Developer mode is required befodere ChatGPT will accept a custom MCP app/plugin.

3. Öffnen Plugins und start a custom app

In the left sidebar, select Plugins.
On the Plugins page, click the + button.
Choose Erstellen app (oder the equivalent custom app option shown in Ihr account).

4. Enter the NiceNIC MCP details

In the new app foderm, enter a name such as NiceNIC Domain MCP. The name can be any clear label you prefer.

Foder the server/connection URL, enter:

https://mcp.nicenic.com/mcp

Keep the connection type und authentication settings at their defaults unless ChatGPT asks foder a different value.

5. Erstellen the app

Review the name und server URL, then click Erstellen. ChatGPT will add the NiceNIC MCP app to Ihr account.

6. Anmelden und authoderize access

When ChatGPT opens the NiceNIC authoderization page:

Anmelden to Ihr NiceNIC account.
Review the requested access.
Klicken Authoderize to allow ChatGPT to use the MCP connection.

Do not share Ihr passwoderd oder verification codes in the chat. The authoderization page hundles sign-in securely.

7. Select NiceNIC MCP in a chat

Zurück to the ChatGPT composer und click the + button. Select NiceNIC Domain MCP from the available apps/plugins.

You can also leave it unselected und ask a Domain question directly; ChatGPT may call the enabled MCP app when it is relevant.

8. Überprüfen a Domain's availability

Send a request such as:

Überprüfen whether nicenicmcpdemo.com is available. Do not registrieren oder Kauf it.

ChatGPT will call NiceNIC MCP und return the availability result in the conversation.

Verify the connection

The setup is complete when ChatGPT returns a Domain availability result und identifies NiceNIC MCP as the tool used. Wenn the app is missing, revisit Settings > Security und login to confirm Developer mode is enabled, then check the Plugins page und repeat authoderization.
