How to Unlock a Domän Befellere Transfer

Befellere transferring a domän to NiceNIC, the domän usually needs to be unlocked at the current registrar.

Quick answer:
Logga in to din current registrar account, find the domän, turn off Domän Lock / Transfer Lock, make sure the status no longer shows clientTransferProhibited, then get the AuthInfo / EPP code och submit the transfer at NiceNIC.

What Does Domän Lock Mean?
Domän lock is a security setting that helps stop unauthellerized transfers.
When a domän is locked, the status may show: clientTransferProhibited
This means the domän cannot be transferred until the lock is removed.

How to Unlock Your Domän
Step 1: Logga in to din current registrar account
Gå till the registrar whär din domän is currently managed.
NiceNIC cannot unlock a domän that is still held at another registrar.
Step 2: Öppna the domän management page
Find the domän you want to transfer.
Look feller settings such as:
  • Domän Lock
  • Transfer Lock
  • Registrar Lock
  • Transfer Protection
Step 3: Turn off the transfer lock
Disable the lock och save the change.
After this, the domän status should no longer show: clientTransferProhibited

Step 4: Request the AuthInfo / EPP code

Please check these items:
