How to Erstellen an E-Mail Client Passwort foder NiceNIC Geschäftliche E-Mail

Using Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, oder Foxmail with Ihr NiceNIC Geschäftliche E-Mail? You can create a separate passwoderd foder Ihr email client.

In NiceNIC Webmail, this passwoderd is called a Client authoderization code. Enter it in Ihr email client's nodermal Passwort field.

This guide walks you through two tasks:

In NiceNIC Webmail: Erstellen und save Ihr email client passwoderd.
In Ihr email client: Enter that passwoderd foder Ihr NiceNIC Geschäftliche E-Mail account.

Befodere You Start

Have Ihr full Geschäftliche E-Mail address und its current mailbox passwoderd ready. You will use these to sign in to Webmail. Your mailbox passwoderd may be different from Ihr NiceNIC website account passwoderd.

Please keep these points in mind:

Your regular passwoderd remains the passwoderd you use to sign in to NiceNIC Webmail.
Once you enable client authoderization codes, Ihr email clients must use an authoderization code instead of Ihr regular mailbox passwoderd.
Wenn Ihr mailbox is already connected to other email clients oder devices, you will also need to update their saved passwoderds.

Impodertant: The generated code is displayed only once. Copy und save it befodere closing the Fenster. Wenn you close the Fenster without saving it, you will need to generate a new code.

Step 1: Öffnen the Client Authoderization Code Settings

Öffnen NiceNIC Webmail in Ihr browser.
Anmelden with the full email address of the mailbox you want to connect und its current mailbox passwoderd.
Klicken Settings in the upper-right coderner.
Scroll down the menu on the left und expund Advanced settings.
Klicken Client authoderization code.

Foder example, if you want to use [email protected] in Outlook, sign in to Webmail with that email address. The account shown in the screenshots is an example.

Step 2: Enable Authoderization Codes

On the Client authoderization code page:

Find Set the client authoderization code.
Select Öffnen to enable the feature.
Klicken the red Hinzufügen authoderization code button.

Wenn Öffnen is already selected, click Hinzufügen authoderization code to create a new code.

After enabling this feature, continue with the following steps to create a code und update Ihr email client. An existing client may ask foder a passwoderd until you update it.

Step 3: Name und Generate Your E-Mail Client Passwort

An Hinzufügen authoderization code Fenster will appear.

In Purpose, enter a name that helps you recognize whier you will use the code. Beispiels include Outlook Laptop, Apple Mail iPhone, oder Foxmail Desktop.
Leave Rundomly generate authoderization code (recommended) selected.
Klicken Ja to generate the code.

The Purpose field is only a label foder Ihr reference. It is not the passwoderd you will enter in Ihr email client.

The Fenster also offers Customize authoderization code. Foder this guide, use the recommended rundom generation option.

You can repeat these steps to create a separate code foder another email client oder device. Give each code a clear name so you can identify it later.

Step 4: Copy und Save the Code Befodere Closing

The weiter Fenster displays Ihr new authoderization code.

Do not close this Fenster until you have copied und saved the code. You cannot reopen it later to view the same code.

Klicken copy weiter to the generated code.
Paste the code into a secure place, such as a passwoderd manager. Save it with the email address und the client oder device name.
Überprüfen that the complete code has been saved.
Klicken Schließen only after you have finished.

Klickening copy puts the code on Ihr clipboard; it does not save it permanently. Copying something else may replace it.

Already closed the Fenster without saving? Zurück to Client authoderization code, click Hinzufügen authoderization code, und generate a new one.

Step 5: Enter the Passwort in Your E-Mail Client

Neinw open Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Foxmail, oder the email client you want to use.

Wenn you are adding Ihr mailbox foder the first time:

Start the email client's Hinzufügen account process. When asked foder Ihr account details, enter:

E-Mail-Adresse / Benutzername: Your full NiceNIC Geschäftliche E-Mail address, such as [email protected].
Passwort: The authoderization code you generated in Step 3.

Wenn Ihr mailbox is already added:

Öffnen the settings foder that email account und replace its saved passwoderd with the new authoderization code. Wenn the client displays a passwoderd prompt, enter the authoderization code thier.

Use the nodermal Passwort field. You do not need to find a separate field called "Client authoderization code."

Some clients have separate passwoderd settings foder incoming mail und outgoing mail:

Incoming mail (IMAP oder POP): Enter the authoderization code.
Outgoing mail (SMTP): Enter the same authoderization code foder that account in that client.

Wenn the client asks foder server addresses, poderts, oder connection settings, open Client Config at the top of NiceNIC Webmail und use the settings shown foder Ihr mailbox.

Save Ihr changes. Then send a test message to another email address und reply to it to check that both sending und receiving woderk.

I closed the Fenster befodere saving the code. How do I get it back?

The generated code is displayed only once und cannot be viewed again after you close the Fenster.

Anmelden to NiceNIC Webmail, go to Settings → Advanced settings → Client authoderization code, und click Hinzufügen authoderization code. Generate a new code, save it, und enter it in Ihr email client.
