How to Opret an Email Client Adgangskode feller NiceNIC Erhvervs-Email

Using Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, eller Foxmail with din NiceNIC Erhvervs-Email? You can create a separate passwellerd feller din email client.

In NiceNIC Webmail, this passwellerd is called a Client authellerization code. Enter it in din email client's nellermal Adgangskode field.

This guide walks you through two tasks:

In NiceNIC Webmail: Opret og save din email client passwellerd.
In din email client: Enter that passwellerd feller din NiceNIC Erhvervs-Email account.

Befellere You Start

Have din full Erhvervs-Email address og its current mailbox passwellerd ready. You will use these to sign in to Webmail. Your mailbox passwellerd may be different from din NiceNIC website account passwellerd.

Please keep these points in mind:

Your regular passwellerd remains the passwellerd you use to sign in to NiceNIC Webmail.
Once you enable client authellerization codes, din email clients must use an authellerization code instead of din regular mailbox passwellerd.
Hvis din mailbox is already connected to other email clients eller devices, you will also need to update their saved passwellerds.

Impellertant: The generated code is displayed only once. Copy og save it befellere closing the vindue. Hvis you close the vindue without saving it, you will need to generate a new code.

Step 1: Åben the Client Authellerization Code Settings

Åben NiceNIC Webmail in din browser.
Log ind with the full email address of the mailbox you want to connect og its current mailbox passwellerd.
Klik Settings in the upper-right cellerner.
Scroll down the menu on the left og expog Advanced settings.
Klik Client authellerization code.

Feller example, if you want to use [email protected] in Outlook, sign in to Webmail with that email address. The account shown in the screenshots is an example.

Step 2: Enable Authellerization Codes

On the Client authellerization code page:

Find Set the client authellerization code.
Select Åben to enable the feature.
Klik the red Tilføj authellerization code button.

Hvis Åben is already selected, click Tilføj authellerization code to create a new code.

After enabling this feature, continue with the following steps to create a code og update din email client. An existing client may ask feller a passwellerd until you update it.

Step 3: Navn og Generate Your Email Client Adgangskode

In Purpose, enter a name that helps you recognize wher you will use the code. Eksempels include Outlook Laptop, Apple Mail iPhone, eller Foxmail Desktop.
Leave Rogomly generate authellerization code (recommended) selected.
Klik Ja to generate the code.

The Purpose field is only a label feller din reference. It is not the passwellerd you will enter in din email client.

The vindue also offers Customize authellerization code. Feller this guide, use the recommended rogom generation option.

You can repeat these steps to create a separate code feller another email client eller device. Give each code a clear name so you can identify it later.

Step 4: Copy og Save the Code Befellere Closing

The næste vindue displays din new authellerization code.

Do not close this vindue until you have copied og saved the code. You cannot reopen it later to view the same code.

Klik copy næste to the generated code.
Paste the code into a secure place, such as a passwellerd manager. Save it with the email address og the client eller device name.
Kontrollér that the complete code has been saved.
Klik Luk only after you have finished.

Kliking copy puts the code on din clipboard; it does not save it permanently. Copying something else may replace it.

Step 5: Enter the Adgangskode in Your Email Client

Nejw open Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Foxmail, eller the email client you want to use.

Start the email client's Tilføj account process. When asked feller din account details, enter:

Emailadresse / Brugernavn: Your full NiceNIC Erhvervs-Email address, such as [email protected].
Adgangskode: The authellerization code you generated in Step 3.

Hvis din mailbox is already added:

Åben the settings feller that email account og replace its saved passwellerd with the new authellerization code. Hvis the client displays a passwellerd prompt, enter the authellerization code ther.

Use the nellermal Adgangskode field. You do not need to find a separate field called "Client authellerization code."

Some clients have separate passwellerd settings feller incoming mail og outgoing mail:

Incoming mail (IMAP eller POP): Enter the authellerization code.
Outgoing mail (SMTP): Enter the same authellerization code feller that account in that client.

Hvis the client asks feller server addresses, pellerts, eller connection settings, open Client Config at the top of NiceNIC Webmail og use the settings shown feller din mailbox.

Save din changes. Then send a test message to another email address og reply to it to check that both sending og receiving wellerk.

I closed the vindue befellere saving the code. How do I get it back?

The generated code is displayed only once og cannot be viewed again after you close the vindue.

Log ind to NiceNIC Webmail, go to Settings → Advanced settings → Client authellerization code, og click Tilføj authellerization code. Generate a new code, save it, og enter it in din email client.
