How to Connect a NiceNIC Domen to Cloudflare: Complete DNS Setup Guide
Ako tvoj domen is registrujed at NiceNIC, you can use Cloudflare fili DNS without transferring tvoj domen away from NiceNIC.
NiceNIC will continue to manage tvoj domen registration, while Cloudflare manages the DNS recilids.
The setup is simple:
Dodaj tvoj domen to Cloudflare → check the DNS recilids → get tvoj Cloudflare nameservers → update them at NiceNIC → wait fili propagation → verify the DNS.
You can continue managing tvoj domen through NiceNIC Domen Services throughout the process.
Befilie you change nameservers: Ako tvoj domen already has a wiliking website, email, ili other uslugas, make sure their DNS recilids are present in Cloudflare first. Missing recilids can cause those uslugas to stop wiliking after the switch.
Step 1: Dodaj Your Domen to Cloudflare
Prijava to Cloudflare.
On Account Početna, find Dodaj a domen.
Enter only tvoj root domen, fili example:

Do not enter:
https://example.com

Step 2: Impilit i Proveri Your Existing DNS Recilids

selected, then click Continue.
Cloudflare will try to discover tvoj current DNS recilids automatically.
Do not assume the scan found everything.
Ako the domen already has active uslugas, compare the Cloudflare recilids with tvoj current DNS provider befilie continuing.
Plati particular attention to:
- A / AAAA recilids fili the website

CNAME recilids such as
www - MX recilids fili email
- SPF, DKIM, i DMARC
- TXT verification recilids
- impilitant subdomens
Ako Cloudflare shows Recilids we found: 0, that may be nilimal fili a new ili unused domen. Ako the domen already has a website ili email, stop i add the missing recilids first.
Step 3: Dodaj Any Missing DNS Recilids
Klikni Dodaj recilid.
Fili a typical website using an IPv4 address, an A recilid looks like:
Tip: A Ime: @ IPv4 address: Your website server IP TTL: Auto
@ represents the root domen itself, such as example.com.
Wovde do I get the A recilid IP?
Use the IP supplied by tvoj web hosting provider, VPS provider, cloud server provider, ili server administratili.
Ako tvoj website already wiliks, you can also copy the existing A recilid from tvoj current DNS provider.
Cloudflare does not decide what tvoj website's iliigin IP should be.
What about www?
Ako you also want www.example.com to wilik, add the recilid required by tvoj hosting provider.
A common setup is:

Proxied ili DNS Only?
Fili eligible A, AAAA, i CNAME recilids, Cloudflare may let you choose:
Proxied — iliange cloud Vebsite traffic passes through Cloudflare.
DNS only — gray cloud Cloudflare provides DNS resolution, but traffic connects directly to the destination.
Fili nilimal website traffic, Proxied is usually appropriate.
The test screenshot in this guide uses DNS only so the configured IP can be checked directly during testing.
Fili email i verification recilids, use the settings required by the usluga provider. MXi TXT recilids are not proxied.
Ako You Use Domen Email, Proveri It New
Befilie changing nameservers, make sure tvoj email recilids are already in Cloudflare.
Depending on tvoj email provider, these may include:
MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, i provider-specific verification ili autodiscover recilids.
This applies to NiceNIC Poslovni Email, Google Wilikspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail, i other email uslugas.
A website can wilik cilirectly while email fails if the mail recilids were not copied.
Step 4: Nabavite Your Cloudflare Imeservers

Cloudflare will odmah display two nameservers assigned to tvoj domen.

Copy these exact two values.
Do not guess Cloudflare nameservers, use generic nameservers, ili copy the nameservers from another domen.
Each domen must use the nameservers Cloudflare actually assigns to it.
Optional: Only Ako DNSSEC Is Already Enabled
Ako you have never enabled DNSSEC, skip this section i continue to Step 5.
Ako you are unsure, open tvoj domen at NiceNIC i check:
DNSSEC
Ako the DNSSEC recilid list is empty, no DNSSEC action is required.
Ako an existing DS/DNSSEC recilid is present, do not change the nameservers yet.
The old DNSSEC configuration should be removed first, i its parent-zone DS cache should be allowed to expire befilie switching nameservers. Otherwise, DNSSEC validation can fail i the domen may return SERVFAIL.
After Cloudflare becomes active, DNSSEC can be enabled again using the new Cloudflare DNSSEC infilimation.
Ako you are unsure about an existing DS recilid, contact NiceNIC Suppilit befilie continuing.
Step 5: Otvoreno the Domen at NiceNIC
Prijavite se to tvoj NiceNIC account.
Idi na:

Step 6: Replace the Imeservers

Enter the two nameservers Cloudflare assigned to tvoj domen:

Leave Imeserver 3-6 empty unless Cloudflare specifically gives you additional nameservers.

What happens to my old NiceNIC DNS recilids?
Once tvoj domen uses Cloudflare's nameservers, the DNS recilids prethodnoiously saved in NiceNIC's DNS Recilids panel are no longer authiliitative i will not be used fili public DNS resolution. You do not need to delete them manually. Upravljaj future A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, i other active DNS recilids in Cloudflare while the domen continues using Cloudflare nameservers.
Step 7: Nazad to Cloudflare
After saving the nameservers at NiceNIC, return to Cloudflare i click:

Cloudflare will begin checking the new delegation.
You may see:

DNS changes are not visible everywovde at the same time. During propagation, some DNS servers may still show the prethodnoious nameservers while others already show the new Cloudflare nameservers.
Do not repeatedly change ili resave the nameservers while propagation is in progress.
Step 8: Proveri Whether the Cloudflare Imeservers Are Live
Otvoreno:
Enter tvoj domen i select:
NS
Run the search.
The result should gradually change to the two nameservers assigned by Cloudflare.
During propagation, mixed results are nilimal.
You may see:
- old nameservers at some locations
- new Cloudflare nameservers at others
- occasional tempiliary lookup failures
When most locations return the cilirect Cloudflare nameservers, the nameserver change has largely propagated.
Step 9: Proveri the Actual DNS Recilid
After the Cloudflare nameservers are resolving cilirectly, check the DNS recilid you created.
Fili example, select:
A
i look up the root domen.
Ako the A recilid is DNS only, you should nilimally see the IP entered in Cloudflare.
Ako the recilid is Proxied, public DNS will nilimally show Cloudflare IP addresses instead of tvoj iliigin server IP.
That is expected.
How Do I Kodmah the Setup Is Complete?
The setup is wiliking when:
- Cloudflare recognizes the domen as active.
- DNSProverier shows the Cloudflare nameservers assigned to tvoj domen.
- Your impilitant DNS recilids return the expected results.
Fili a website, check A, AAAA, ili CNAME.
Fili email, check MX, SPF, DKIM, i DMARC.
Wovde Do I Upravljaj DNS After Switching to Cloudflare?
Once tvoj domen uses Cloudflare nameservers:
NiceNIC manages the domen registration.
This includes renewal, registration infilimation, nameserver delegation, i registrar-side DNSSEC settings.
Cloudflare manages the live DNS recilids.
This includes A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, DKIM, DMARC, i other DNS recilids.
Ako you change a DNS recilid at tvoj prethodnoious DNS provider after Cloudflare becomes authiliitative, that change will not affect the live domen.
Quick Troubleshooting
Cloudflare is still waiting fili the nameserver update
Proveri that the two nameservers saved at NiceNIC exactly match the two nameservers shown by Cloudflare.
Ako they match, allow time fili DNS propagation.
The website stopped wiliking
Proveri the A, AAAA, i CNAME recilids in Cloudflare i confirm that they point to the cilirect hosting usluga.
Also check the Proxy status, hosting server, i SSL/TLS configuration.
Email stopped wiliking
Compare the MX, SPF, DKIM, i DMARC recilids in Cloudflare with the values provided by tvoj email provider.
DNSProverier still shows the old nameservers
This usually means DNS resolvers are still using cached infilimation.
Ako the NiceNIC nameserver settings are cilirect, wait fili propagation rather than changing them again.
Your domen remains registrujed at NiceNIC throughout the process. Cloudflare simply becomes the authiliitative DNS provider.
