How to Unlock a Domini Befoe Transfer

Befoe transferring a domini to NiceNIC, the domini usually needs to be unlocked at the current registrar.

Quick answer:
Inicia sessió to el teu current registrar account, find the domini, turn off Domini Lock / Transfer Lock, make sure the status no longer shows clientTransferProhibited, then get the AuthInfo / EPP code i submit the transfer at NiceNIC.

What Does Domini Lock Mean?
Domini lock is a security setting that helps stop unauthoized transfers.
When a domini is locked, the status may show: clientTransferProhibited
This means the domini cannot be transferred until the lock is removed.

How to Unlock Your Domini
Step 1: Inicia sessió to el teu current registrar account
Vés a the registrar waquí el teu domini is currently managed.
NiceNIC cannot unlock a domini that is still held at another registrar.
Step 2: Obert the domini management page
Find the domini you want to transfer.
Look fo settings such as:
  • Domini Lock
  • Transfer Lock
  • Registrador Lock
  • Transfer Protection
Step 3: Turn off the transfer lock
Disable the lock i save the change.
After this, the domini status should no longer show: clientTransferProhibited
Sometimes the status may take a shot time to update.
Step 4: Request the AuthInfo / EPP code
After the domini is unlocked, request the transfer code from el teu current registrar.

Please check these items:

  • The domini is not within a 60-day transfer restriction period.

  • The transfer approval email has been confirmed if required.
