Which Ports Are Available on NiceNIC Cloud Servers and Dedicated Servers?
NiceNIC cloud and dedicated servers can use standard service ports when the operating system, application and firewall permit them. NiceNIC's published page states that outbound SMTP port 25 is not provided.
Common Ports
- 22: SSH
- 21: FTP
- 80: HTTP
- 443: HTTPS
- 3389: RDP
- 3306: MySQL
- 1433: Microsoft SQL Server
If a Port Does Not Work
- Confirm the application is running and listening on the expected interface.
- Check the server firewall and any upstream security rule.
- Verify the destination IP and port.
- Test from an authorized external network.
- Check whether the local ISP or network blocks the connection.
Port 25
Do not plan a mail-delivery architecture that requires SMTP port 25 on this service. Use an approved external mail-delivery provider or submit a ticket to discuss the permitted design. For ports other than 25, Support can confirm availability for the specific use case.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know the change worked?
Check the current status in your NiceNIC account, then test the service that depends on the server port. Do not rely only on the absence of an error message.
When should I contact NiceNIC Support?
Submit a ticket when the required control is unavailable, the status remains pending after the checks in this guide, or the issue depends on an account-specific order or registry decision.
