What is ICANN Fee
An ICANN fee is a transaction-related fee that applies to certain generic top-level domain registrations, renewals and transfers under ICANN's contractual arrangements. It is not a universal extra charge on every domain extension.
Is the ICANN fee included in NiceNIC's price?

When can an ICANN fee apply?
The exact fee obligations depend on the extension and transaction:
- Registration: some eligible gTLD registration years are subject to the fee.
- Renewal: the charge may apply to eligible renewal years.
- Transfer: eligible inter-registrar transfers may include it where the rules require.
- Country-code domains: a ccTLD does not automatically have the same ICANN fee structure as a gTLD.
The fee is only one component of a domain's total cost. The registry price, registrar price, any promotion, premium classification, taxes and selected add-ons may affect what you pay.
