What is a domain transfer?

A domain transfer is the process of moving your domain registration from your current registrar to NiceNIC. Once transferred, your domain benefits from our advanced security policies, crypto-friendly payments, and lifetime free WHOIS privacy for most gTLDs.

Why should I transfer my domains to NiceNIC?

Customers transfer their domains to NiceNIC to enjoy transparent pricing, competitive renewal rates, reliable multilingual support, and flexible global payment options, including BTC, USDT, ETH, or LTC. With direct registrar‑level management and lifetime WHOIS privacy for most extensions, you benefit from streamlined operations, consolidated domain control, and enhanced security features that simplify domain portfolio administration and reduce overall costs.

What are the eligibility requirements for transferring a domain?

Under ICANN rules, the domain must have been registered or transferred at least 60 days ago and must not have had a recent registrant change. It must be unlocked, not on hold, and you must have access to the administrative contact email to authorize the transfer.

How do I start the transfer process?

Log in to your current registrar, disable the transfer lock (clientTransferProhibited), and request the EPP authorization code. Then visit https://nicenic.com/domain/transfer.php, enter the domain and EPP code, and complete checkout using your preferred payment method. You'll receive a confirmation email to approve the transfer.

How long does a transfer usually take?

Most transfers complete within 24 hours once approved, but some may take up to 5-7 days depending on the current registrar and the TLD policy. You can track progress from your NiceNIC dashboard in real time.

Does the transfer fee include a renewal?

Yes. The transfer cost normally includes a one-year extension of your domain registration. This means you gain an additional year of ownership automatically after a successful transfer to NiceNIC.

Will my DNS settings or website go offline during transfer?

No. Your nameservers remain unchanged throughout the process. Your website and email services continue without interruption. However, if you use DNS from your old registrar, ensure it stays active until the transfer is completed.

Can I transfer multiple domains at once?

Yes. NiceNIC supports bulk domain transfers. Simply unlock each domain, gather the EPP codes, and submit them together through the bulk transfer interface in your account. Bulk operations save time and automatically apply reseller discounts if eligible.

What if I need to cancel or speed up a transfer?

You can cancel a pending transfer during the authorization window by declining the email approval. Transfers cannot usually be expedited because registrars must observe the ICANN waiting period (typically five days). Our support team monitors each transfer and confirms completion once the registry approves it.

Does transferring affect SEO or website traffic?

No. A registrar transfer does not change your DNS records, content, or ranking. To ensure zero downtime, keep DNS active until the process finishes. Once moved, your domain is secured under NiceNIC's policy of fair abuse handling and lifetime WHOIS privacy, giving long-term SEO and brand stability.

הכן את הדומיין שלך להעברה ל-NiceNIC

עקוב אחר הצעדים המרכזיים הבאים כדי להבטיח העברת דומיין מהירה וחלקה:

בדוק את הזמן המתאים

Confirm the domain has been registered with your current registrar for at least 60 days. Some registrars also add a 60-day lock after ownership changes—verify this before starting.
גישה למייל

ודא שניתן לגשת לדוא"ל של הרשום או המנהל כדי לאשר את טופס ההרשאה (FOA) של הרשם הישן שלך.
פתח את הדומיין שלך

Log in to your current registrar and disable any domain lock (sometimes called security lock, transfer lock, or domain lock). A locked domain cannot be transferred.

Your nameservers stay the same during the transfer. If you used your old registrar's DNS, make sure it remains active to avoid downtime.
פרטי יצירת קשר

WHOIS details usually remain unchanged. If the old registrar blocks a lookup, we'll apply your account's default contact info.
