Quick start
Use this short path if you already know WHMCS. The full installation guide below covers credentials, TLD pricing, automation and testing in detail.
Confirm reseller pricing if needed, get your API credentials and authorize the public outbound IP of your WHMCS server.
Choose the published package that matches your WHMCS environment, then keep a backup before replacing an existing module.
Activate NiceNIC in WHMCS, configure the connection and verify one controlled live order before increasing volume.
WHMCS domain registrar integration
Use the NiceNIC registrar module inside the WHMCS workflow your team and customers already use.
Available operations depend on the extension, domain status and registry requirements. View the WHMCS compatibility update →
Choose the right integration
Use the WHMCS module when WHMCS is already your customer and billing platform. Use the Domain API when you are building your own panel, automation or custom workflow.
Install the NiceNIC registrar module. No custom registrar integration is required for the supported WHMCS workflow.
Download WHMCS ModuleUse the NiceNIC Domain API for software, control panels and automation outside WHMCS.
Explore Domain APIUse NiceNIC Domain API tools without a separate API access fee. Your account pricing still applies to domain orders.
Explore Domain APIYour reseller deposit is added to your account balance and can be used to pay for domain and other supported service orders.
View payment optionsChoose the reseller level that fits your TLD mix and domain volume. Your reseller prices then apply according to your account level and TLD.

Select the package for your WHMCS environment, then follow the installation guide.
Connect supported domain operations to WHMCS.
NiceNIC supports the WHMCS 9.0 release line. If you are upgrading an existing installation, confirm the correct package for your environment and keep a backup before replacing the module.
Not sure which package to use? Ask NiceNIC integration support.
WHMCS installation & configuration
Follow these six steps to install the registrar module, connect your NiceNIC account and verify your first domain order.
Reseller account, API credentials and authorized server IP.
NiceNIC WHMCS onboarding is designed for reseller use. Review the Reseller Program, then sign in and open API Settings to create or retrieve your API Secret.
Authorize the public outbound IP of your WHMCS server. It may differ from the website or CDN address. Your hosting provider can confirm it.
Place the module in the right folder.
Extract the approved package. Place its nicenic folder in your existing WHMCS registrar-module directory, without adding an extra nested folder.
/path/to/whmcs/modules/registrars/nicenic/In the WHMCS 9.0 admin area, open Domain Registrars and activate NiceNIC:
Replace /path/to/whmcs/ with the location of your installation. Back up the existing module before replacing it.
Save your username and API Secret.
Open the NiceNIC module settings in WHMCS. Enter your NiceNIC API credentials and save the configuration.
Check registrar mapping, terms and currencies.
In WHMCS Domain Pricing, select the extensions you plan to sell and set NiceNIC as the registrar for those new orders. Review registration, renewal and transfer prices separately.
Check permitted terms, required contact fields and TLD eligibility. Compare your WHMCS selling currency and exchange-rate settings with the NiceNIC account cost. Review premium-domain handling before offering premium names.
Set your WHMCS selling prices separately. Installing the registrar module does not automatically configure your retail pricing. Review your NiceNIC account costs and keep enough balance for live domain orders.
Verify cron, logging and renewal settings.
For self-hosted WHMCS, configure the cron job using the command shown by your installation. WHMCS recommends running it every five minutes. Check that scheduled tasks complete and that the command-line PHP environment meets WHMCS requirements.
Review renewal settings and module logs. A customer payment and a completed registrar operation are separate events. Reconcile both before marking a domain order complete.
Verify the result before increasing volume.
Begin with read-only checks, such as domain availability or existing domain information. Verify authentication, the returned result and error handling.
The API Sandbox is a separate environment for direct API development. Do not assume that a WHMCS Test Mode setting connects to it. Confirm the installed module's test instructions before attempting registrations, renewals or transfers.
When ready, verify live settings and account balance, then run one controlled paid order. Confirm the domain's final state, the WHMCS order record and the NiceNIC transaction before increasing volume.
Troubleshooting
Start with the symptom you see in WHMCS. Keep the exact error message for any account-specific review.
Check the module folder location, extra nesting after extraction, readable file permissions and your PHP environment. Confirm you installed the package intended for your WHMCS release.
Recheck the NiceNIC username and API Secret, then confirm the authorized outbound server IP. Check for accidental spaces and make sure you did not enter the website login password in place of the API Secret.
The API response body uses code: 201 for pending processing. An accepted order is not necessarily a completed registration or transfer.
Review the WHMCS log, then verify the domain and transaction state in NiceNIC. Do not repeat a paid operation while its outcome is unknown. Ask support to trace the original request when needed.
Compare the same TLD, operation, term and currency. Check account tier, renewal versus registration pricing, premium status and any currency conversion. Customer payment in WHMCS does not by itself prove that the corresponding NiceNIC registrar order was funded.
Review WHMCS automation status, cron execution, renewal settings and the affected domain's registrar assignment. Check that the cron process uses the expected PHP configuration and that the account has enough funds for the requested action.
WHMCS integration FAQ
Answers about reseller accounts, testing, existing domains and WHMCS compatibility.
Ask an integration questionNo. The registrar module provides the WHMCS connection. The Domain API documentation is there for deeper technical reference or workflows you build outside WHMCS.
NiceNIC WHMCS onboarding is designed for reseller use. A reseller account also lets you use the reseller pricing assigned to your account for supported domain orders. Review the NiceNIC Reseller Program before enabling production orders.
Yes. Begin with selected new registrations and retain your existing registrar workflow for the rest of your portfolio. Review the registrar assignment for each TLD and existing domain. Installing the module does not transfer your existing domains to NiceNIC.
Do not treat them as interchangeable. The API Sandbox serves direct API testing. WHMCS Test Mode behavior depends on the installed module. Follow its package-specific instructions and confirm the target environment before any operation that creates or changes a domain.
No. Under the NiceNIC Reseller Program, your prepaid reseller balance remains available for domain and other supported service orders; it is not consumed as a membership fee. WHMCS licensing and any hosting costs remain separate.
NiceNIC has announced support for the WHMCS 9.0 release line. Select the approved module package for your installation and follow WHMCS's current system requirements for PHP and ionCube. Test other themes, hooks and extensions separately before a production upgrade.
Use the published package that matches your WHMCS environment. NiceNIC currently provides a standard module package and a V8+ package. If you are upgrading or replacing an existing production module and are unsure which package applies, keep a backup and confirm the package with NiceNIC integration support before replacement.
No. Configure your WHMCS selling prices separately. Installing or activating the registrar module does not automatically set your retail prices. Review your NiceNIC account costs, the operation type and your own selling currency before going live.
For a paid registrar action, keep enough available balance in the NiceNIC account to cover the live order. A customer payment recorded in WHMCS is separate from the registrar-side transaction.
Sign in to NiceNIC and open API Settings. Use the API Secret there for the server-side module configuration. Do not use your website sign-in password as the API Secret, and do not expose the secret in screenshots or client-side code.
A pending response is not proof that the operation failed. Check the domain and transaction status in NiceNIC before repeating a paid action. If the result is still unclear, keep the original timestamp and error details and ask support to trace the first request.
Choose a NiceNIC reseller option, connect the WHMCS registrar module and verify your first live domain order.
