.NO Domain Registration: Personal ID and Organization Requirements
A .NO domain registration through NiceNIC requires a Norwegian registrant. Individuals and organizations must provide different identifiers.
Registering as an individual
Individuals need the following:
- Full name
- Norid Personal ID (PID)
- Norwegian address, city and postal code
- Phone number and email address
An individual must be at least 18 years old, registered in Norway's National Population Register, and have a Norwegian postal address.
A Norid PID is the identifier you provide for domain registration; you do not need to provide your Norwegian national identity number to NiceNIC for this purpose. If you do not have a PID, obtain one through Norid's PID service.
Registering as an organization
An organization must provide:
- Organization Number and official Organization Name
- Contact person's name
- Norwegian address, city and postal code
- Phone number and email address
The organization number must correspond to an entity recorded in Norway's Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities, and the organization name should match its official registration.
