A registrar transfer requires an AuthInfo / authorization code. Obtain it from the current registrar and check the domain status, verification and quoted term before starting.

If you use a local-contact service, confirm its continuity with the gaining registrar before starting. Trustee Service does not automatically move with the domain.

Can a foreign individual or company register a .SG domain?

Yes. Individuals and organizations outside Singapore can apply for .SG, provided they appoint an authorized local administrative contact. .SG does not have the commercial-entity requirement of .COM.SG.

Do I need my own Singapore address?

Your local administrative contact needs valid Singapore contact details. A foreign registrant can appoint an eligible local agent while keeping their own registrant details accurate. If you have no local contact, request NiceNIC Trustee Service.

.SG or .COM.SG: which can I register?

.SG accepts individuals and organizations, including foreign applicants with an authorized local administrative contact. .COM.SG is for eligible commercial entities; foreign corporations may apply with an authorized local administrative contact. Both require an eligible Singapore administrative contact and SGNIC verification.

How much does a .SG domain cost at NiceNIC?

Standard first-year .SG registration is $179.99 for a new Market account. Basic, Super and VIP prices apply only to accounts assigned those levels. The VIP first-year rate is $159.99. Premium names, Trustee Service and applicable taxes are separate. Confirm the current domain-specific and account-level quote before payment.

How do I request NiceNIC Trustee Service?

Before payment, ask NiceNIC to confirm the service fee, term, required documents and how verification will be completed. Select Trustee Service in the registration flow. After ordering, submit a ticket with your domain name and order number, then provide any requested documents in the ticket. Selection alone does not complete the service, and local-contact verification still applies.

Do I personally need a Singpass or Corppass account?

Your eligible administrative contact normally uses Singpass / Corppass to verify the registrant details. A foreign registrant can appoint a qualified local administrative contact. SGNIC-approved SGNICID arrangements may apply in exceptional cases; confirm eligibility and the actual verification arrangement before ordering.

What happens if .SG verification is not completed on time?

SGNIC suspends an unverified new domain if verification is not completed within 21 calendar days from the date of registration, which can interrupt its website and email. Renewal is blocked until verification is completed. SGNIC offers a separately requested, one-time seven-day extension.

Does .SG include full WHOIS Privacy?

No. SGNIC public WHOIS/RDAP records include the registrant name, administrative-contact name, and technical-contact name and email. A local-contact service does not make a domain anonymous.

Does an expired .SG domain automatically go to auction?

SGNIC describes a renewal and redemption lifecycle, not a guaranteed auction. A deleted domain normally has a 30-day redemption period before registry removal. An expired domain may enter redemption earlier if registry auto-renewal cannot occur. Renew before expiry and contact NiceNIC immediately if it has expired.

Can I pay for a .SG domain with USDT?
