Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about domain registration, renewal, transfer, restore and reseller pricing.
Where can I compare domain registration, renewal and restore prices?
Use this page to search by TLD and compare the live registration, renewal and restore price at each NiceNIC account level.
Does every listed TLD include Free WHOIS Privacy?
Free WHOIS Privacy is included for eligible TLDs where registry policy permits it. Some country-code and restricted TLDs do not allow privacy. Learn more about WHOIS Privacy.
Is the ICANN fee included in the listed domain price?
Yes. The applicable ICANN fee is included in the listed standard domain price. Premium pricing, taxes and registry-specific services are identified separately where required.
Are registration and renewal prices the same?
Not always. A promotional registration price can reduce the first-year cost while the annual renewal price remains at the standard rate.
Does the transfer price include a renewal term?
In most cases, a domain transfer includes the registry-required renewal term. The applicable term is confirmed before checkout.
What is the domain restore fee?
The restore fee applies only when an eligible domain has entered the registry's Redemption Grace Period. It is separate from the renewal price and varies by TLD.
Are there hidden fees?
NiceNIC does not add hidden registrar fees to the listed standard price. Premium pricing, taxes and registry-specific requirements are disclosed before checkout.
How do reseller pricing levels work?
Basic, Super and VIP levels unlock account-level pricing. The qualifying prepayment remains usable account credit. Review the NiceNIC Reseller Program.
Why can a Premium domain cost more?
A registry can classify a particular domain as Premium and assign higher registration, renewal or transfer pricing.
How often are domain prices updated?
Prices are synchronized when registries change wholesale costs, promotions or policies. The current applicable price is confirmed before an order is submitted.
Can I automate domain operations with API v2?
Yes. NiceNIC Domain API v2 supports eligible availability checks, registrations, renewals, transfers and DNS operations.
Which payment methods does NiceNIC accept?
NiceNIC supports PayPal, international bank transfers and selected cryptocurrencies. See all payment options.
